Struggling with golfer's elbow in Warrington?

Golfer’s elbow treatment in Warrington — inner elbow pain specialist care

If you're finding it difficult to:

You’re not alone — and you don’t have to just put up with it. Golfer’s elbow — medically known as medial epicondylitis — causes pain on the inner side of the elbow, where the forearm flexor tendons attach to the medial epicondyle. Like tennis elbow, it’s caused by overload rather than necessarily being related to golf — it’s common in manual workers, office workers and anyone who performs repetitive gripping or wrist flexion.
Good News

The good news

Most cases of golfer’s elbow improve with physiotherapy and a structured progressive loading programme. Shockwave therapy and EMTT are both available at our clinic for cases that haven’t responded to rest or standard treatment.
Symptoms

Does this sound like you?

Pain on the inner side of the elbow

Pain when gripping or carrying objects

Weakness in the grip

Pain when bending the wrist or fingers toward the forearm

Tenderness when pressing the inner bony prominence of the elbow

Pain that has developed gradually over weeks of repetitive activity

If any of these sound familiar, a physiotherapy assessment will tell you exactly what’s happening — and what will help.
Why it persists

Why does golfer’s elbow become a long-term problem?

Golfer’s elbow that doesn’t resolve is almost always because the tendon has never been progressively loaded back to full capacity. Rest reduces pain, but the tendon remains weak. The loading pattern that caused the overload continues unchanged. The combination of weak tendon and unmodified loading is a recipe for a condition that cycles but never resolves.
