Sheila established The Stockton Heath Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic in January 2003, in October 2019 Daniel Massey took over the practice renaming it "Stockton Heath Physiotherapy & Wellness".
Sheila qualified from Withington University Hospital Manchester in 1985 , Sheila worked in the NHS for 11 years and 3 months in Australia. Sheila has gained UK experience from three different Health Authorities , 5 different Hospitals, GP Practices, Day Centres, Sports Teams, Fracture Clinics, Shoulder Clinics, Neurosciences including Pain Management Programmes and Hydrotherapy etc….
Sheila moved to the Private sector in 2011 as Physiotherapy Manager for BMI Health Care The Alexandra Hospital, South Manchester , the largest private hospital outside London. Sheila also looked after Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy , Podiatry , Consultant Sports Injury Clinics, One Stop Shoulder and Foot and Ankle Clinics , as well as Spinal and Rheumatology Clinics. Sheila also helped to set up the Pain Management Programme. Sheila was chairperson for the National Physiotherapy Managers at BMI Healthcare.
In 1992 Sheila gained membership of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP) soon becoming Chair Person for the Northern Branch. Sheila has tutored and examined post graduate MACP and MSc Physiotherapy students.
Sheila has been unable to carry out clinical work since her surgery last year which wasn’t successful , repeat surgery was due this April but this has had to be postponed. Once Sheila has had her surgery she can not wait to get her Physiotherapy hat back on and work along side Dan and the team..
